Waste to Energy

A Large Waste to Energy Plant

The Plant will process 480 tons per day of unsorted Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and 63 tons per day of pure organic waste.  Through a combination of mechanical and human intervention, the organic waste is separated from the inerts, and processed in an anaerobic digestion plant to produce biogas, which in turn is upgraded to pure biomethane, compressed to 250 bar for sale as CNG, and beverage grade liquid carbon dioxide.   As well as producing useful gas products from waste, the plant also serves to divert as much as 90% of waste from landfills due to the extraction of recyclables and the production of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) – a high calorific product manufactured from the lighter combustible fraction of MSW (papers, cloths etc.)
